Spiral-Bound
Several years ago, I started having my personal copy of the catalog spiral bound and laminated, so it would lay flat and I could easily mark the Stamp Sets I owned for my own reference. Before, I found myself using my catalog so much that by the end of the year, it looked very well-loved! It was difficult to use the catalog when it doesn’t naturally lay flat. The spiral binding and lamination has saved my life!! Having the covers laminated prevents fraying on the edges and spiral binding the pages also removes the possibility of the binding glue disintegrating over time. It is also convenient to throw in a tote bag or backpack because the thick lamination is incredibly sturdy and creates an overhang to protect the edges of the pages. Since I started doing this, I have kept every one of my personal catalogs and they are still in great shape! I love having a collection of my past catalogs to keep on hand.
Soon after I started doing this for my catalog, some of my customers asked if I could have their copies done as well. Now, most of my customers ask to have theirs bound every year when the new catalog comes out. I take the catalogs to a professional and we have your name labeled on the front of the catalog. We also include 2 large pockets so you can keep flyers and Holiday Catalogs all in one place within your catalog. Over the years, my “binding guy” and I have worked out the kinks and found the method to get the best end result!
If you are interested in getting your catalog bound, I will be happy to provide the catalog and shipping to you free of cost. I only ask that you pay the binding fee, as it would be a high cost for me to cover for all of my customers. Over the years, the cost of materials and labor for binding has increased slightly, so I will be sure to update you if and when there is a change in pricing. The current binding fee is $18 per catalog.
I typically take orders for Spiral-Bound Catalogs from my customers just before the yearly catalog releases and have them bound in bulk to keep the fees lower for all of us. However, if you missed it this year and are interested, feel free to reach out! If I have enough people interested at a different time of year, I may be able to do another bulk order for binding.
I have included some photos below of my previous catalogs with the binding. You’ll see some photos of a new catalog just after it was bound and some photos of the catalog after a year of use, so you can see the typical wear and tear with the lamination and binding.
